My father Chaudhry Hameed Ahmad had migrated from Qadian to Rabwah following the partition and was among the first wave of Pakistani immigrants arriving in the UK, yet his heart always remained attached to his motherland. He was a devout Ahmadi Muslim, a fearless, courageous and strong hearted man who was extremely bold upholding his belief in Ahmadiyyat.
I would hear amazing stories about parts of his life from the people that knew him, and these continued to be told in the same loving and passionate manner even after his early demise. As I grew older it became clearer to me how unique and priceless those memories were, and how important it was for them to be preserved and shared.
More than two decades after his demise, this love finally compelled me to capture these recollections and begin this book.
